It is with great sadness that the families of Emma Caines announce her passing at her families residence in Portland Creek, NL, on Saturday, February 25th, 2012 at the age of 79 years, leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 56 years; Samuel, her children; Hebbert (Mabel), Kevin, Austin (Jackie), Betty (Bud) Brake, & Nancy, her grandchildren; Sherman, Mary Ann, Jamie, Cory, Riley, Ashley, Richard, Davey, Kasey, her great grandchildren; Cameron, & Samuel, her brothers; Lionel (Blanche), & Ron, her sisters; Bessie (John), Florence, & Verna (Stan), also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends. Emma was predeceased by her parents; Gordon & Evangeline House, her brothers; Jake & Jeffrey. The family will be receiving family and friends from the Anglican Church in Portland Creek, NL, today, Monday, February 27th, 2012 from the hours of 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm and continuing on Tuesday, February 28th, 2012 from the hours of 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from on Wednesday, February 29th, 2012 at 2:pm with Rev Jean Hickman Brenton officiating with the burial to follow at the church cemetery in Portland Creek, NL.
